Key Accountabilities: Analyze operational data to detect engine trends promptly and define requirements for trend algorithms and digital tools to enable early failure prediction. Collaborate with MTU Service Engineering teams, including EHM in Germany, to provide guidance, training, and support for Equipment Health Monitors across the Americas. Support MTU Go! Commissioning by assisting with setup and final validation before customer service handover. Address nuisance alarms by working with Application Engineering teams to adjust settings and remove unnecessary alerts, enhancing customer experience. Foster a safety and compliance culture while upholding the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct. Carry out additional responsibilities as required to meet operational and growth objectives

Requirements

  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S without sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology plus 5 years of experience in engine troubleshooting, diagnostics, or service engineering involving internal combustion engines is required; alternatively, candidates with 9 years of relevant hands-on troubleshooting, diagnostics, or service engineering with internal combustion engines will also be considered.
  • Willingness and ability to travel both domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.

Nice To Haves

  • Comprehensive understanding of mechanical or electrical aspects of engines and related tools, such as their design, operation, maintenance, repair, major overhauls, and diesel engine tuning.
  • Strong ability to interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, wiring schematics, computer-generated reports, and engine data files.
  • Advanced analytical and creative problem-solving abilities, enabling the development of tools to address complex or poorly defined issues.
  • Knowledge of MTU comparable diesel products, and their applications.
  • Strong interpersonal oral/written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, planning and follow through skills.
  • Experience working with international and/or interdisciplinary teams.
