About The Position

About This Role: As a Clinical Biomarker Senior Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the design, execution, and interpretation of biomarker activities across our clinical studies. You will work cross-functionally with Translational Research, Clinical Study Teams, and external labs/CROs to ensure the generation of high-quality biomarker data and its timely delivery to inform critical program decisions. This role is integral to aligning study activities with program biomarker strategies, helping to monitor early responses, generate insights into mechanisms of action, and understand resistance mechanisms. Your contributions will be essential to advancing our understanding of immune-mediated diseases and enhancing our clinical trial outcomes. Positioned within a highly matrixed environment, you will drive scientific and technical innovation, significantly contributing to the overall success of our projects. What You’ll Do: · Ensure alignment of study activities with program biomarker strategy to support early response monitoring and understanding of resistance mechanisms. · Support biomarker implementation for clinical trials of immune-mediated diseases, providing strategic oversight to study-related documents. · Analyze and interpret biomarker data in collaboration with computational biomarker data scientists. · Translate preclinical findings into clinically actionable biomarker hypotheses. · Oversee biomarker assay development, validation, and sample analysis with internal teams and external CROs. · Collaborate in vendor selection, qualification, and tech transfer of biomarker assays with internal SMEs and external labs. · Stay current with emerging biomarker technologies and trends in immune-mediated diseases. · Identify and probe external datasets to inform clinical biomarker strategy. · Support strategic initiatives by providing deep scientific knowledge of inflammatory pathways and mechanisms. · Work effectively in a highly matrixed environment to drive scientific and technical innovation. Who You Are: You are a highly organized and collaborative scientist with a passion for biomarker research. Your strong communication skills enable you to work effectively with diverse teams, and you thrive in a matrixed environment where innovation is key. You bring a deep understanding of inflammatory pathways and mechanisms, complemented by hands-on experience in clinical biomarker modalities such as flow cytometry, NGS, or proteomics. Your ability to manage multiple studies and vendors showcases your exceptional organizational skills, making you a valuable asset in driving our scientific initiatives forward.

Requirements

  • PhD and/or post-doc in immunology, molecular/cellular biology, biomedical engineering, pharmacology, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in industry biomarker/translational work (biotech/pharma or CRO).
  • Hands-on familiarity with at least one core clinical biomarker modality (e.g., flow cytometry, NGS, proteomics) and associated data QC.
  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple studies and vendors.
  • Strong communications skills.
  • Comfortable in a matrix environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting clinical trials and working with external labs/CROs.
  • Therapeutic area experience aligned to the portfolio (e.g., immunology/IMIDs, nephrology).
