JOB OVERVIEW: This role will serve as a key assistant/consultant for the R&D Team, enabling top-level academic excellence in science, directed exclusively to support active initiatives and requests from R&D Leadership. Purpose: To serve in a consulting role as a human biology, performance and clinical practice subject matter expert in order to improve the depth, quality and efficiency of FC clinical science review and execution. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide directed assistance in: Review of Irvine lab output to ensure results are not inconsistent with known methodologies, effects, outcomes or established ranges. Escalate incongruencies or logical challenges for further review and risk assessment with clear, logical and concise analysis. Development of clinical protocols (internal/pilot, University, CROs) to ensure best practice, appropriate novelty and alignment of outcomes (primary/secondary/exploratory as appropriate) with business objectives and risk. Critical review of University/CRO output to advise and assist FC University & CRO managers. Evaluation and implementation of new biomarkers associated with relevant clinical outcomes that can be tested using appropriate and/or accepted methods in our discovery platform. Employ expertise in the analysis, synthesis and general translation of published science as well as new, FC clinical outcomes for various internal stakeholders. Serve as a credible expert to external audiences - from customer engagement to academic settings - in support of FC products, science and/or strategic objectives. Maintain active engagement in the latest developments in relevant fields, not only in published literature but also in key conferences and professional organizations as deemed appropriate by R&D leadership. Provide assistance in efficient scoping of literature reviews to be executed by others. Expected Pay Range: $155-$162K, exempt Bonus: This role may further qualify for supplemental compensation in the form of bonus and incentive programs, contingent upon achieving pre-established individual and company performance metrics.
