Sr Salesforce SPQ Architect

VeradigmRaleigh, NC
$130,241 - $189,502

About The Position

As our Senior Salesforce CPQ Architect, you'll be the internal subject matter expert and technical owner of our CPQ platform. You'll work at the intersection of business strategy and technical execution — translating complex pricing models, approval workflows, and product catalog requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions. This is a high-visibility role with direct impact on our sales velocity and revenue recognition.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of Salesforce platform experience, with at least 4 years focused on Salesforce CPQ (Steelbrick)
  • Deep expertise in CPQ configuration: product catalog, pricing waterfall, bundle/option constraints, output documents, and approval chains
  • Strong understanding of quote-to-cash processes and how CPQ integrates with CRM, ERP, and billing systems
  • Proven experience leading CPQ implementations or major re-architecture efforts in an in-house environment
  • Salesforce CPQ Specialist certification (required)
  • Ability to write and review Apex, LWC, and SOQL as needed for custom CPQ extensions

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with and knowledge of Salesforce Revenue Cloud (formerly Salesforce Billing)
  • Hands-on experience with Zuora Billing, as our CPQ solution is closely integrated with the Zuora platform
  • Familiarity with integration platforms (MuleSoft, Boomi, or similar)
  • Experience in SaaS, subscription, or usage-based pricing models
  • Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect certification
  • Experience migrating from legacy CPQ tools (e.g., Apttus/Conga, PROS, or custom-built quoting)
  • Exposure to agile/scrum delivery methodologies
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools for Salesforce (Copado, Gearset, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end architecture, design, and governance of Salesforce CPQ across product catalog, pricing, discounting, quoting, and contracting
  • Partner with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Product teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
  • Lead CPQ configuration and customization efforts including price rules, product rules, approval workflows, order management, and amendments/renewals
  • Evaluate, plan, and execute platform upgrades, new feature rollouts, and integrations with adjacent systems (ERP, billing, CRM)
  • Define and enforce CPQ data model standards, naming conventions, and best practices
  • Mentor and guide junior Salesforce admins and developers on CPQ functionality and design patterns
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex CPQ issues and production support
  • Drive adoption of new capabilities including advanced approvals, guided selling, and DocuSign/Leah contract generation

Benefits

  • Veradigm offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, including holidays, vacation, medical, dental, and vision insurance, company paid life insurance and retirement savings.
