About The Position

We are looking for a Sr. Sales Operations & Support Manager who is passionate about the outdoor industry and is ready to lead the systems, people, and processes that power our Sales team and support continued growth. POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Sales Operations & Support Manager is responsible for optimizing the operational and financial functions that support the Sales team, driving sales performance, productivity, and effectiveness. This role oversees the administration of systems and processes critical to sales, including reporting, forecasting, KPI tracking, customer database management, and technology implementation. This role will have some accounts assigned to maintain as the responsible Sales Support Manager. The Manager will also collaborate across departments, improve processes, and provide insights that help the Sales team make data-driven decisions. Additionally, this role includes ownership of customer pricing, MAP protection customer onboarding, and key sales reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in building and scaling Sales Operations in a high-growth environment.
  • Experience working with retailers/e-tailers in a hard goods sector (domestic and international).
  • Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and sales performance tracking.
  • Experience with B2B sales platforms such as NuOrder.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Navision) and product catalog tools (e.g., Salsify).
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience creating and interpreting sales metrics and reports.
  • Expertise in managing sales operations processes, including forecasting, performance tracking, and database management.
  • Solid understanding of MAP compliance and brand protection best practices.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of diplomacy.
  • Ability to present complex data in a clear, actionable manner to senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify operational risks and opportunities.
  • Proactive, hands-on, and detail-oriented, with a strong customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee All Sales Operations functions
  • This role manages the EDI and Sales Operations Analyst and is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate completion of all responsibilities of that role, including EDI management, Salsify product database management, NuOrder system management, and Wiser MAP pricing enforcement.
  • Sales Support
  • Sales Support Team Management: This role manages the Sales Managers and is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate completion of all responsibilities of that role. This position will direct, train, and evaluate the Sales Support team, ensuring that roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and aligned with company objectives, and that the Sales Support Manager duties for assigned accounts are executed.
  • Order Maintenance: Oversee order book maintenance, ensuring accurate pricing and order fulfillment. Collaborate with warehouse teams on large projects, routing guides, and ensuring compliance with customer requirements.
  • Regular maintenance of Credits and Rebills: Ensure accurate and timely execution of credit rebills, RMAs, and credit memos.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work cross-departmentally to align resources and ensure effective sales initiatives. Facilitate communication between necessary teams. Establish standards of execution and ownership for sales, sales support and sales operations.
  • Customer Database Management
  • Customer Agreements & Pricing: Circulate and implement customer agreements, pricing sheets, and program documentation. Ensure the accuracy and profitability of all customer programs.
  • Data Integrity: Ensure data integrity within Microsoft Navision and ensure alignment with accounting reporting. Ensure all program sheets are updated with pricing immediately.
  • Customer pricing and profitability: Audit and distribute customer sales and profitability data. Review chargebacks, scorecards, and margin reports with account managers and sales management. Maintain Program sheets for assigned accounts with custom pricing. Works closely with Accounting to align on account programming and payment details.
  • Sales Reporting
  • Oversee Daily and Monthly Sales reports: Ensure timely and accurate completion of the Daily Ship report, Monthly Sales Dashboard, and Monthly Item sales report
  • Oversee Obsolete item report: Ensure timely and accurate completion and dissemination of internal and external Obsolete List.
  • Forecasting and order book accuracy improvement: work with Planning and Sales teams to measure and improve forecast accuracy. Oversee regular order book reporting to ensure pricing and timing accuracy.
  • Customer Onboarding & Integration
  • Onboarding & Contracts: Coordinate the analysis and execution of customer agreements and requirements. Manage compliance and ensure onboarding processes are smooth, and executed to completion.
  • Integration Projects: Act as the point of contact for Sales, and Sales Support, with IT on integration-related projects such as new customer onboarding and new fulfillment methods (e.g., drop shipping, EDI connections).
  • Integration Tracking: Track the status of integration projects, managing priorities based on customer readiness and projected revenue.
  • Technology Implementation & Training
  • Tech Systems: Manage the quality, effectiveness, and utilization of technologies to support the business (including EDI, NuOrder, Salsify, ERP, Wiser).
  • Training: Conduct ongoing training sessions for software and systems to ensure the Sales team and company is well equipped to use these tools for the maximum company benefit.
  • Platform Maintenance: Manage the integration of platforms and support the ongoing roll-out and enhancements to customers. Assist with ongoing platform updates and maintenance.
