About The Position

As an RF (Radio Frequency) Planning Engineer, you will be the person who designs, optimizes, and maintains wireless communication networks. Including cellular (LTE/5G) and satellite systems, to ensure optimal coverage, capacity, and service quality. You will model signal propagation, analyze network performance, and troubleshoot interference to meet performance objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline
  • 7+ years of experience with radio wave propagation, antenna theory, and communication protocols (LTE, 55G).
  • Experience with network planning tools (such as: Atoll, RF Planet, or similar).

Nice To Haves

  • Scripting and automation skills for RF performance analysis, data processing, and workflow optimization.
  • Strong analytical skills in interpreting logs, KPIs, Layer 3 messages, and RF performance statistics
  • Experience in the site selection process, including candidate evaluation, technical feasibility assessment, and associated RF challenges

Responsibilities

  • Network Design: Planning new site locations, selecting antennas, and modeling propagation to ensure maximum coverage and capacity.
  • Network Optimization: Analyzing KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), conducting drive tests, and modifying parameters to enhance network performance.
  • Capacity Planning: Forecasting traffic demands and adding capacity to prevent network congestion.
  • Troubleshooting: Identifying and fixing problems related to signal strength, interference, and coverage gaps.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring all RF systems operate within legal frequency guidelines.
