About The Position

Amazon MGM Studios is the home for talent, creating and producing Original films and television series for a global audience. Original series premiere exclusively on Prime Video, which is available in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. Amazon MGM Studios also produces and acquires Original movies for theatrical release and exclusively for Prime Video. Amazon MGM Studios seeks a consumer insights researcher to support our mission of delivering popular and high-quality content that customers love to watch and talk about. The ideal candidate will provide data and analysis on consumer response that will help guide the creative and marketing decision-making process.

Requirements

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
  • Experience communicating results to senior leadership
  • Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
  • 4+ years of supporting quantitative and qualitative consumer research experience

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the television and media industry
  • Experience conducting and applying research in a global context
  • Experience with all aspects of research (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting)
  • Expertise using AI solutions to automate manual processes and perform analytical tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct primary research using various methodologies including surveys, focus groups, and analyze secondary/syndicated data to understand customer preferences.
  • Partner with Data Science, Development, Marketing, and Finance teams to represent customer insights in business decisions.
  • Design and execute surveys, analyzing results using tools like Microsoft Excel, Tableau, and AI solutions.
  • Transform complex data into clear, actionable narratives and comprehensive reports.
  • Provide research-backed recommendations to Content Development, Marketing, and Senior Leadership teams to influence project greenlight decisions, creative edits, and series renewals
  • Collaborate with third-party research firms on strategic projects that shape business growth initiatives.
  • Leverage syndicated data sources like Nielsen, ePoll, and YouGov to supplement primary research
  • Present research methodologies and findings using strong statistical understanding.
