Springboard Hospitality maintains corporate offices in Los Angeles and Honolulu, while also supporting a modern work remote culture for select positions. https://www.springboardhospitality.com/ [https://www.springboardhospitality.com/] Primary mission: As the Senior Regional Director of Sales – Hawaii, the mission is to achieve personal and team goals; lead, develop, and execute strategic sales initiatives across the Hawaii portfolio to drive group and catering revenue, maximize profitability, and elevate customer satisfaction. This role oversees both short- and long-term sales planning while ensuring day-to-day operational excellence. In partnership with the General Managers and corporate leadership, the Regional Director plays a key role in shaping sales and marketing strategies, supporting revenue optimization, and aligning with overall business goals. Responsible for leading and mentoring a high-performing sales team, this role fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and growth anchored in aloha and excellence.

Requirements

  • 6+ years as top sales leader position in a hotel/hospitality environment of comparable scale to OLS Hotels & Resorts or six years of employment in a related position with this company or other companies.
  • Previous sales and marketing leadership responsibility overseeing all related functions for an upscale or boutique/luxury property of comparable scale to OLS Hotels & Resorts (four diamond level or higher).
  • Knowledge of travel trade industry, group markets and leisure segment including key contacts that would serve to source business for the property and that align with the profile and prestige positioning of OLS Hotels & Resorts.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer software (including Microsoft Office, outlook) and web analytics tools is preferred.
  • A four-year college degree or equivalent education/experience
  • Participate in trade shows and community and professional organizations to maintain high visibility and the achievement of sales and revenue goals
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Participate in hotel committees, MOD program and task force assignments.
  • Assist the Front Office Manager in all areas requested and act in his/her place during his/her absence
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all property safety and security procedures as required maintaining a secure and safe environment for employees as well as guests.
  • Report any unusual occurrences and/or request to Supervisor.
  • Read and abide by all the regulations and rules of conduct stated in the Associate Handbook.
  • Must be service oriented with excellent customer service and sales skills
  • Must be able to effectively communicate to guests, management, and coworkers and read, write and understand the English language

  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all company safety and security procedures.
  • Travel required: As needed for hotel familiarization, content creation shoots and to meet with colleagues.
  • Hours Required: Must primarily work during Springboard Hospitality business hours, Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm (PST), while understanding that the hotel business functions 24/7 and some weekend or holiday work may occasionally be required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Regional Sales Strategy: Sell and Oversee the solicitation, negotiation, and closing of group and catering business for hotels across the Hawaii portfolio through a variety of channels including proactive sales calls, targeted marketing efforts, networking, and strategic partnerships. Ensure each property maximizes group and catering revenue to meet or exceed established goals.
  • Sales Team Leadership & Development: Provide direction and mentorship to on-property sales teams. Responsible for supporting regional hiring, onboarding, training, development, coaching, performance management, and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Support and guide each property in developing and managing their group and catering sales budgets and marketing plans. Monitor and analyze market trends, competitive sets, and customer needs to drive strategic planning. Review and interpret forecasts, pacing reports, and productivity metrics across the region to ensure revenue goals are met.
  • Optimize Regional Sales Operations: Implement company initiatives, systems, and best practices to streamline regional sales efforts. Ensure alignment with ownership expectations, brand/franchise guidelines, and OLS/Springboard policies and procedures to optimize performance across all properties.
  • Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key corporate, travel, meeting planner, and community partners to grow regional market share. Represent the Hawaii portfolio at industry events, conferences, and within professional associations to promote visibility and drive business opportunities.
  • Sales Enablement & Technology: Provide guidance on the use and optimization of sales platforms, CRM systems, and distribution channels. Leverage data analytics and digital tools to drive strategy, evaluate ROI, and identify new business opportunities across both group and leisure segments.
  • Cross-Functional Training & Collaboration: Partner with hotel leadership teams to train all staff on recognizing and converting sales opportunities. Foster a culture where every team member understands their role in driving occupancy, revenue, and guest loyalty.
  • Talent Development & Engagement: Attract, retain, and empower high-performing sales talent across the region. Cultivate an environment of open communication, professional growth, and shared success, while ensuring alignment with company values and business objectives.
