About The Position

The Senior Quality Engineer will take a role in ensuring all products and processes meet stringent quality standards. This highly experienced position involves advanced problem-solving, strategic planning, and overseeing quality improvement initiatives. The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 8+ Years experience as a Quality Engineer or in a related field. Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 12 years of related experience is required. Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Considerable knowledge of Quality System requirements and contract quality requirements.
  • Extensive experience in manufacturing and inspection.
  • Advanced ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics, parts lists, specifications, instructions, and test procedures.
  • Advanced knowledge of ISO9001, AS9001 standards.
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Black Belt.
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
  • To conform to U.S. Government international trade regulations, applicant must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or U.S. Department of Commerce.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic quality initiatives and projects to enhance product quality.
  • Solve complex quality issues using advanced analytical techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with all industry regulations and standards.
  • Identify and implement quality improvement opportunities.
  • Mentor and train junior quality engineers and other staff.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are integrated into all processes.
  • Oversee supplier quality assurance programs and audits.
  • Act as a point of contact for quality-related customer inquiries and issues.
