About The Position

The Sr. Protective Services Agent will report to the Director of Executive Protection. The role is responsible for planning and conducting daily protective service operations for designated principal(s). The role may provide secure transportation, travel with principal(s) and/or conduct advanced reconnaissance at offsite venues prior to principal travel. This role is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable company policies.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited executive or dignitary protection training program that includes protective operations, situational awareness and observation, threat detection and mitigation, de-escalation, defensive operations, defensive driving and tactical casualty care is required.
  • 5+ years of executive or dignitary protection, personal security detail, close protection operations, law enforcement or military special operations experience.
  • Strong law enforcement and crisis response network in the New York City and Jersey City areas.
  • Compliant with HR-218 Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act and/or licensed to conduct armed protective services operations in New York and New Jersey. Compliant with HR-218 Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act, TSA Armed Security Officer, and/or licensed to conduct armed protective services operations in New York and New Jersey.
  • Calm demeanor, emotional intelligence, conflict resolution and executive level briefing and communication skills. A high degree of physical fitness and professional appearance and demeanor is required.
  • Willingness to work and travel during irregular and extended hours, weekends, or on call to ensure mission accomplishment. Expect 30% domestic and international travel with an ever-changing schedule on short notice.
  • A valid driver's license, US passport and current CPR, AED, first aid, tactical casualty care, emergency response and industry certifications are preferred.
  • A pre-employment background screening, motor vehicle records check, and non-disclosure agreement will be required

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement daily close protection operations around the personal and business itinerary of designated principal(s) to ensure safety and productivity.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with executive assistants, event coordinators, travel managers and other partners to ensure information and itineraries are clearly communicated and schedules are adhered to.
  • Travel with or in advance of principals when required to ensure security risks and logistical friction points are identified and resolved quickly and seamlessly in a fluid and dynamic environment.
  • Provide secure ground transportation by operating company vehicles in a safe, professional and legal manner, when required.
  • Maintain and service assigned vehicles on a scheduled basis and track mileage logs as required by company policies.
  • Conduct advance reconnaissance and provide support at offsite venues, when required.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information.
  • Provide documentation regarding your completion of an accredited executive protection academy and maintain applicable licensing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or departmental leadership.
