This position requires onsite work from our client HQ in Mountain View, CA, or San Francisco, CA. Candidates must relocate to or live near Mountain View or San Francisco, California. JOB DESCRIPTION The focus of this position is safeguarding the principals from safety and security hazards, both in domestic and international locations. This job requires a high level of personal integrity and honesty, confidentiality, good judgment, problem-solving skills, often under pressure, and the ability to follow instructions.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of related security experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public
  • Ability to work collectively and collaboratively
  • Must be able to obtain a California Guard card
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record

Responsibilities

  • Safeguards principals from all forms of security and safety hazards
  • Advance work: Conducts site surveys for events ranging from casual to high-profile level events
  • Coordinates logistics and plans all details relating to the physical location of the principal
  • primary principal driver: Operates vehicle in a safe and comfortable manner
  • Prepares routes in advance, including alternate routes
  • Conducts vehicle checks for cleanliness, functionality, and fuel level
  • Close-in protection: Provides security coverage for principals, guests, and others in a professional and courteous manner, while in compliance with policy, procedures, and principal preferences
  • Liaison: Coordinates with internal staff and department heads when providing common support during principal activities and events
  • Communications: Communicate appropriately with all principals and stakeholders
  • Writes reports and delivers oral and written briefings
  • May, on occasion, manage outside contract vendors to assist with security details
