Sr. Property Accountant
About The Position
Temporary Sr. Property Accountant for 3 month term with possible extension. We are looking for a team member to assist our property management company who is invested in residential, commercial and retail space across the United States. Our office is based in Seattle and our roles are onsite. Property Accountants hold a pivotal responsibility, bridging the gap between financial management and real estate operations. They ensure the financial health of properties, oversee budgets, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. We are a fun, professional team who is looking for someone who can hit the ground running with the below duties:
Requirements
- Analytical Mind
- Minimum five years AP & AR experience
- Minimum five years of cash management experience
- Minimum five years of experience with tax
- Attention to detail, with a record of accuracy.
- Microsoft 365 experience required
Nice To Haves
- Sage software experience
- Real estate experience preferred (not required)
Responsibilities
- Track, read and track on monthly financial statements and reports.
- Review balance sheets and income statements per property.
- Coordinate with property managers to address financial queries and issues
- Oversee tenant billing and collections, including rent, utilities, and other charges
- Manage accounting calendar
- Make bank deposits as needed
- Field calls for CFO
- Oversee reconciliation of bank statements
- Give customer service to clients.
