About The Position

As the APX Project Sourcing & Procurement Sr. Principal, you will manage the successful procurement of equipment. This equipment supports a manufacturing location. Additionally, you will support several AP1000 New Plant Projects within the APX Supply Chain's Procurement Management portfolio. This includes potential guidance of procurement personnel. It also includes oversight of procurement activities during the pre-purchase order (PO), PO placement and PO administration and execution. Additionally, it involves support of our Project Management personnel during the PO execution phase. You will negotiate pricing, delivery, terms and conditions to satisfy financial, quality and delivery requirements with suppliers. Process and approve purchase orders within limits of authority. You will report to the APX Manager, Project Sourcing & Procurement and be located at the Newington, New Hampshire office. We do require you to be in the office on a hybrid basis, which will require 2 days a week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and Supply Chain Experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in project procurement experience (preferably within industries with complex engineering, procurement, and construction projects, with a focus on procurement). At least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • In-depth manufacturing, financial, and economic skills and understanding of APX Supply Chain Products

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate, place and administer purchase orders with suppliers.
  • You will lead decision-making, strategy implementation for procurement of components and equipment.
  • Lead regular supplier relationship management reviews with necessary and strategic suppliers, engaging teams and senior leadership.
  • Develop working relationships with suppliers and internal partners to maintain sources of supply. Identify standard engineering, quality and administrative issues, assisting with resolution to fulfill internal and external procurement requirements.
  • Identify and obtain cost improvements of purchased materials and services.
  • Obtain training and acquire additional knowledge to ensure compliance with nuclear regulatory requirements and enhance personal growth.
  • You will coordinate, maintain and expedite material deliveries to ensure you maintain manufacturing schedules.
  • Interface between project teams including project management and engineering and the supply chain organization
  • Maintain a comprehensive commodity strategy to improve Total Cost of Ownership, while ensuring supply continuity through identification and mitigation of current and emerging risks and opportunities
  • Prepare and deliver materials for leadership and supplier reviews, risk mitigation plans, 4 Blocker assessments, and supplier or commodity gap analysis
