About The Position

Senior Project Manager Amentum is hiring a Senior. Project Manager with 10+ years of experience in environmental remediation and a strong background in earthwork projects to join our growing team in Pittsburgh, PA. In this role, the successful candidate will assist in delivering environmental solutions for both private and government sector clients, particularly on hazardous waste sites. Requirements

  • Minimum required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degrees with 12-yr experience, Master’s degrees with 10 yr experience, or PhD degrees with 8-yr experience.
  • Experience in environmental remediation projects, with a background in earthwork is preferred
  • Experience managing complex projects and navigating regulations
  • Proficiency with environmental software and tools
  • Understanding of geotechnical principles and remediation techniques
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • A valid driver's license is required as is a willingness to travel.

Nice To Haves

  • Active PE or PG licensure in good standing is preferred but individuals with the ability to obtain professional licensure will also be considered.
  • Experience with earthwork projects a plus, including understanding of waste management, disposal, and fill requirements
  • Demonstrated business development and client management experience desired
  • A 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification is preferred.

  • Conducting site assessments and field activities

  • Interacting with clients and agencies
  • Staying updated on industry best practices
  • Lead and manage environmental remediation projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory programs including Pennsylvania’s Land Recycling and Environmental Remediation Act (Act 2), Storage Tank Program, Hazardous Sites Cleanup Act, CERCLA, RCRA, and others
  • Support proposal efforts across a wide-range of scopes and markets
  • Experience in proposal development (scope, schedule, budget) and demonstrated ability to manage projects safely and efficiently
  • Manage projects from inception to completion with regulatory compliance and ensuring timely, on-budget execution and maintaining project controls throughout
  • Work with and lead a project team consisting of technicians, scientists, and engineers to meet project objectives and maintain client satisfaction
  • Prepare remedial work plans and remedial investigation reports, cleanup plans, and final project reports
  • Excel at communications, ensuring all stakeholders are consistently informed on project progress and execution
  • Manage a variety of subcontractors, ensuring quality and delivery
