About The Position

We are seeking a high-energy Sr. Project Manager to lead the execution and scaling of our newest Electric Vehicle (EV) product line. This isn't just about managing a schedule; you will be responsible for building the manufacturing ecosystem for a new product that already has a significant backlog. You will own the lifecycle of this product line—from initial production runs and engineering revisions to final delivery and field service. This role requires a "roll-up-your-sleeves" leader with a mechanical engineering background who has a proven track record of taking complex, high-value products from the shop floor to the customer.

Requirements

  • Engineering Core: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (or a related technical field). You must be able to read drawings, understand tolerances, and debate technical solutions with the design team.
  • Proven Winning Track Record: You have successfully managed high-value product lines that have successfully moved into production. We are looking for someone who has "been there, done that" with complex machinery or vehicles.
  • Builder Mentality: Experience building or significantly improving manufacturing processes for new products. You thrive in environments where you need to create the roadmap while driving the car.
  • Project Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, with a focus on hardware and manufacturing lifecycles.
  • Grit & Accountability: A high sense of urgency and the ability to maintain composure while managing a high-volume backlog and shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Build the Process: Partner with Manufacturing and Operations to develop and refine the production ecosystem required to clear a massive backlog of new orders.
  • Scale Operations: Identify bottlenecks in the current workflow and implement scalable project management structures to move product through the factory faster without sacrificing quality.
  • End-to-End Ownership: Manage the transition of the product from the final design stages into high-volume production and eventual delivery.
  • Engineering Bridge: Use your mechanical engineering expertise to lead the "Design for Manufacturability" (DFM) feedback loop, ensuring that engineering revisions are practical for the production line.
  • Change Management: Oversee technical product revisions, ensuring that updates are integrated into the build process without stalling production momentum.
  • Technical Oversight: Act as the primary technical point of contact for resolving production-stalling issues on the floor.
  • Deployment Management: Coordinate the logistics of getting finished products into the field, ensuring all customer-specific requirements are met.
  • Service Feedback Loop: Establish the service and support framework for this new line, ensuring that field data is captured and used to improve future production runs.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide transparent, data-driven updates to internal teams and external customers regarding production status and delivery timelines.
  • Proactive Troubleshooting: Identify risks in the supply chain or production flow early and drive the cross-functional solutions needed to keep the line moving.
  • Documentation: Ensure all project documentation, engineering changes, and quality certifications are meticulously maintained as the product line evolves.

Benefits

  • Medical, Dental & Vision coverage
  • Supplemental insurance options
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • Paid holidays
