Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Project Management or relevant field of study
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • 10 + years of experience consulting or public sector related experience, NYC preferred.
  • 10 + years of project management support/project coordination experience
  • 10+ years SDLC experience supporting the full life cycle
  • 7 + years of managing Data Warehouse projects
  • 7 + years managing the delivery of web-based applications.
  • Must be PMP certified
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and effective written and oral communication are essential for managing teams and stakeholders.
  • Risk and budget management: The ability to identify, mitigate risks, manage budgets, and maintain quality assurance
  • Proficiency in problem-solving, strategic planning, and attention to detail
  • Strong Knowledge of project management methodologies (like the System Development Life Cycle)
  • Adaptable, able to quickly learn project tools and procedures

Nice To Haves

  • Previous development experience in browser based and PL/SQL technologies is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Planning: Define project scope, goals, and objectives. Develop comprehensive project plans with tasks, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Facilitate Agile activities such as stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives as needed.
  • Manage work distribution by utilizing Azure DevOps, including tracking current workload and forecasting future needs.
  • Execution: Lead and coordinate project teams and contractors to ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and provide regular status updates as directed by the Project Manager.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to optimize processes and enhance team performance.
  • Budget Management: Develop, track, and manage project budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and efficiency.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks, analyze their impact, and develop mitigation strategies to prevent disruptions.
  • Compliance: Ensure all project activities and documentation comply with relevant government regulations and laws.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes to ensure deliverables meet required standards.
  • Coordinate with the development and QA teams to ensure alignment with project goals, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Communication: Provide regular, concise status reports to stakeholders and leadership, and communicate effectively with contractors and government officials.
  • Procurement: Coordinate with contracting officers and manage procurement processes for necessary resources
