Overview As McKesson transitions its Medical-Surgical business unit into a new independent entity, we are seeking a dynamic and versatile HR Systems & Talent Project Manager to lead and support cross-functional efforts that establish new operational capabilities, integrate HR technologies, and evolve talent processes. This role blends strategic project management with hands-on coordination across HR systems and people initiatives, ensuring seamless execution in a fast-paced transformation environment.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years in project management or HR program coordination, ideally within transformation or separation initiatives.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Familiarity with HR systems, talent acquisition, onboarding, and employee engagement strategies.
  • Experience with enterprise-level project management tools
  • Proficient in Smartsheet and Excel, with a strong ability to craft compelling narratives using PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate separation-related projects across HR, Communications, and operational teams.
  • Coordinate system upgrades, integrations, testing, and documentation.
  • Partner with IT and HR teams to ensure operational readiness and data integrity.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, manage interdependencies, and resolve issues.
  • Maintain project trackers and documentation for both systems and talent workstreams.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and change management across impacted teams.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership and governance bodies.
  • Track feedback and action items from engagement activities and pulse surveys.
  • Collaborate with external partners and internal teams to align with strategic goals.
