About The Position

Kith is seeking a Field Construction Senior Manager. This role will be responsible for the realization of all KITH locations – inclusive of offices, brick and mortar and shop in shops. Under the direction of the Head of Global Store Expansion, build out concepts in line with brand vision and oversee third party vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in either architecture, construction management or similar
  • 7+years of professional experience as a project manager
  • Prior experience must include brick and mortar retail
  • Knowledge of CAD drafting and MS office
  • Understanding of building code requirements
  • Strong communication skills - being proactive in reporting the Expansion teams work to the wider business.
  • Ability to lead a team.
  • Understanding of the strengths of each of your team members and how to utilize them effectively to deliver each project.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and construction of all new KITH retail stores.
  • Work closely with the KITH design team to develop design concepts which capture the brand's vision.
  • Ensure quality control by reviewing multiple drawings sets, shop drawings and coordinated plans prior to approval.
  • Experience in coordinating the needs of multiple teams such as visual merchandising, operations, IT and marketing is vital for this role.
  • Have a strong understanding of local building codes, lease agreements, construction schedules, budgets and reporting.
  • Engage with consultants, AORs and GCs to progress the permitting and construction stages of each project.
  • You will require the ability to draft, own and maintain requests for proposals, bid documents, bid leveling sheets, submittals and cost reports.
  • Create risk registers to identify and mitigate potential project risks and ensure the team is prepared for various situations
  • Play an active role on site to ensure the progress from the GC, subcontractors and vendors are aligning with the construction schedule.
  • Be able to think on your feet when problems arise on site and create quick solutions for the project to progress.
  • Have strong communication skills and understand how to approach different situations with different teams.
  • Be able to close out projects in a quick and efficient manner including punchlist, financial closeout and lien releases.
  • Oversee the repairs and maintenance of all current retail stores and be able to prioritize issues that would affect staff and/or trade.
