About The Position

Senior Project Manager’s job is to plan and supervise a wide range of storage projects from start to finish. You will organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. Oversite Project Managers and mentoring staff on timely client communications, budget reviews, job costing and managing labor contracts for projects.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 year(s) related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have excellent phone etiquette and verbal communication skills and be able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents; to write routine reports and correspondence including memos, emails and other documents.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with, and persuade customers and other stakeholders, by e-mail, telephone and contract craftsmanship.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to make quick decisions and commit to a clear course of action.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Outlook; Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; Monday.com; Microsoft Project; and Bluebeam.

Nice To Haves

  • NASCLA and other construction licenses a plus, but not required
  • Bi-lingual a plus, but not requirement

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, verbiage, and equipment.
  • Manage and update the project budget.
  • Manage and update the project schedule on a weekly basis.
  • Reviews and negotiates bids with subcontractors.
  • Reviews and processes of subcontracts and subcontractor change orders.
  • Reviews and processes submittals, RFI’s, change proposals, and owner change orders.
  • Conducts onsite meetings with the client, contractor, and labor crew.
  • Identifies and responds to potential issues throughout the life of the project to minimize the potential negative impacts and help ensure the safety of the work.
  • Prepares and submits project billings to clients.
  • Reviews and approves subcontractor payments.
  • Prepares and submits monthly cost projections.
  • Supports the quality control and punch list process.
  • Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
  • Review and manage PM’s on weekly task.
  • Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
  • Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Other duties as assigned.
