In this mission we provide support services for information systems for Headquarters Air Force (HAF), Air Force District of Washington (AFDW), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Chiefs of Staff, and other Air Force activities within the AFNCR missions to include the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews (JBA), Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB), and other locations, leased spaces, and alternate sites. The major support areas are: IT Operations and Maintenance; Plans, Projects, and Engineering. The 894 CYSS Project Management Lead will work with our customer’s, project managers, internal task or functional staff, and support personnel to execute the AFNCR ITS Program Mission. The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment that requires team interaction and coordination of efforts. The candidate will be accountable for prioritizing, planning, organizing, training, assessing, and managing resources to ensure that projects are executed within scope and time constraints. While part of a team environment, the Lead will also work individually and may assist other team members on moderately complex projects, tasks, or assignments As a Project Management Lead for the Air Force customer, the candidate will serve as a primary point of contact for select Project Management office projects and activities. The 894 Cyber Support Squadron oversees AFNCR-wide actives to complement base-specific communications squadrons, driving projects that have multi-base or AFNCR interoperability impacts. As a Project Team Lead for the 894 Cyber Support Squadron, the candidate will serve as a primary point of contact for select Project Management office projects and activities, guiding a $28M project portfolio. Trains and guides a staff of 4 to manage workloads, while ensuring compliance with processes and procedures, as well as meeting project deadlines. Assists the 894 CYSS Site Lead in developing and executing the AFNCR IT capabilities roadmap Interfaces with DoW officials to coordinate, schedule, and manage discrete Peer Review projects. Engages with subject matter experts for assignments and monitoring work activities. Lead projects from inception through delivery, coordinating all related functions, tasks and schedule aspects. Ensure all related resources across multiple task order and functional, subcontractor and related support organizations have defined tasking, meet project timelines. Primary tasks are related to achieving Leidos P&L responsibilities. Coordinates all aspects of projects content across the various involved functions from initiation through project completion, adhering to the 844 CG governance processes. Provides hands-on efforts to characterize the project’s content in preparation for input to the appropriate organizations to ensure complete end-to-end execution of the projects. Reviews, analyzes and evaluates task output for complete, correct and complaint project submittals to the customer. Works with the technical/programmatic subject matter experts to characterize the project solutions for communication/charts for review and approval for submittal to Leidos customers. Day-to-day tasks require a hands-on, action-oriented individual. Produces briefing / overview slides on all active projects, submits weekly activity reports to the Site Lead, and ensures monthly contract deliverables are submitted on time. Manages projects to successful completion, meeting schedule deadlines, service levels, and performance targeted. Participates in regular process improvement and quality initiatives. Participates in and providing support for special projects. The AFNCR Program is made up of 3 primary sites: JBA (Primary Site), JBAB, and the Pentagon; potential for occasional travel between the sites.
