We are currently seeking a Sr. Project Engineer to join our team in Steamboat Springs, CO. A Sr. Project Engineer should be able to independently identify and manage the Project Engineering requirements for any Haselden project, including the supervision of other Project Engineers.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a four-year degree program in engineering or construction management.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years previous experience working for a General Contractor or similar.
  • Full knowledge of computer software, i.e., MS Word, Excel, etc.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Project Management software, Bluebeam and CM applications are a plus.
  • Broad knowledge of LEAN and BIM techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with project architects, designers, owners, subcontractors, and field personnel.
  • Responsible for generating Request for Information (RFI) and submittals.
  • Manages project subcontractors including coordination, procurement of materials and equipment, monitoring budget and cost, manage billings, etc.
  • Act as the “information hub” for project to office, field personnel and design team members to ensure continuity of work.
  • Offers technical information to project supervisor to ensure work complies with applicable codes, drawings, and specifications.
  • Prepares and executes subcontracts and subcontractor change orders including time extensions. May prepare and execute owner change orders.
  • Primary responsibility to monitor and track project quality control metrics and activities on a regular basis, provide timely and accurate quality reports, and raise issues to PM or Superintendent as appropriate.
  • Inspects all work to assure compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Maintains critical project logs (submittal, change order, etc.)
  • Responsible for establishing and communicating performance expectations, providing positive and constructive feedback, and conducting on-the-job training of project engineers and interns.
  • May be responsible for managing project schedule with the project Superintendent.
