We are currently seeking a Sr. Project Engineer to join our team in Steamboat Springs, CO. A Sr. Project Engineer should be able to independently identify and manage the Project Engineering requirements for any Haselden project, including the supervision of other Project Engineers.

Requirements

Graduate of a four-year degree program in engineering or construction management.
Minimum of 3-5 years previous experience working for a General Contractor or similar.
Full knowledge of computer software, i.e., MS Word, Excel, etc.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Project Management software, Bluebeam and CM applications are a plus.
Broad knowledge of LEAN and BIM techniques.

Responsibilities

Coordinates with project architects, designers, owners, subcontractors, and field personnel.
Responsible for generating Request for Information (RFI) and submittals.
Manages project subcontractors including coordination, procurement of materials and equipment, monitoring budget and cost, manage billings, etc.
Act as the “information hub” for project to office, field personnel and design team members to ensure continuity of work.
Offers technical information to project supervisor to ensure work complies with applicable codes, drawings, and specifications.
Prepares and executes subcontracts and subcontractor change orders including time extensions. May prepare and execute owner change orders.
Primary responsibility to monitor and track project quality control metrics and activities on a regular basis, provide timely and accurate quality reports, and raise issues to PM or Superintendent as appropriate.
Inspects all work to assure compliance with plans and specifications.
Maintains critical project logs (submittal, change order, etc.)
Responsible for establishing and communicating performance expectations, providing positive and constructive feedback, and conducting on-the-job training of project engineers and interns.
May be responsible for managing project schedule with the project Superintendent.
