Are you looking to use your engineering capabilities, project management and collective skills in your next position? We could use your expertise on our team! We are innovators on a mission to unify, explore and inspire. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead technical efforts for Stringer Crack Repairs within the SAOC EMD Fleet. In this critical role, you will serve as the technical authority, guiding and executing strategies to address damaged or cracked stringers, while collaborating with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and providing direct support to the IPT Project Manager. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the structural integrity and reliability of the fleet, while leveraging your expertise in engineering, project management, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in a related field of study
  • Typically, 12+ years of progressive technical experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of requirements management, system design, integration
  • Expertise in engineering principles, practices, and multi-disciplinary design.
  • Strong understanding of requirements management, system design, and systems integration.
  • Proven experience in generating technical proposals and conducting trade studies.

Nice To Haves

  • 6–8 years of leadership and/or project management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in developing project cost estimates, technical proposals, and managing project schedules.
  • Proven experience in baseline definition, maturation, and conducting integrated trade studies in complex development environments.
  • Ability to interpret and apply technical drawings, schematics, specifications, and test procedures.
  • Professional certifications such as Program Management Professional (PMP), PMI Certification, or INCOSE Certification.
  • Background in the aerospace or defense industry is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Manage the full lifecycle of repair projects, from proposal development and initiation to delivery, ensuring successful execution and alignment with technical objectives.
  • Client and Field Support: Serve as the technical liaison, interfacing with external clients and field personnel to address and resolve technical challenges.
  • Program Oversight: Oversee project schedules, budgets, and programs, ensuring timely delivery, preparing status reports, and maintaining project momentum.
  • Team Leadership: Lead multi-disciplinary teams to achieve project goals, proactively addressing issues and implementing contingency plans as needed.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Assist in the preparation and delivery of final project reports, technical documentation, and post-project evaluations.
