About The Position

The Senior Program Manager oversees complex, enterprise-wide programs composed of multiple interdependent projects within a department or functional unit. This role ensures program alignment, coordination, and successful delivery by managing dependencies, risks, timelines, and resources while supporting effective change and benefit realization. The Senior Program Manager provides leadership across initiatives focused on performance improvement, quality enhancement, and cost reduction. Key responsibilities include program and project planning, serving as the primary liaison among stakeholders, coordinating efforts across quality improvement, IT, analytics, and clinical teams, supporting documentation and risk adjustment initiatives, and facilitating meetings and committee activities. This role provides expert project management support by developing and executing project plans, coordinating work efforts, identifying resource needs, and escalating issues as needed. The Senior Program Manager drives people, process, analytics, and technology changes required to execute program strategy and works collaboratively with other JHM strategic initiatives to ensure alignment and integration.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business in Health Administration, Project Management or related degree is required; a Master’s Degree is preferred.
  • Professional (PMP) or equivalent project/program management certification strongly preferred.
  • 7-10 years of experience managing programs and projects that must include:
  • Minimum four (4) years’ experience implementing large, complex projects
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience working on project(s) involving project life cycle methodologies
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience managing project budgets
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience managing large programs with multiple project work streams
  • Minimum four (4) years’ experience leading project teams.
