A role in Indirect and Reverse Supply Chain means managing the inbound throughput and placement of the indirect materials that are required to operate all Target stores and distribution centers. This also includes the business management and logistics operations for guest returns. Reverse and Returns include the backward movement of all goods including logistics, secondary market sales, and damaged/defective product management. Indirect includes order execution and movement, warehousing/storage, operations such as facility and 3PL management and inventory management including demand management and forecasting. As a Sr. Program Manager, Reverse and Recommerce , you will be responsible for maximizing the value Target is able to generate from end-of-life merchandise that is marked out of stock or collected from our Guests. You will oversee and drive end-market strategy for both pre- and post-consumer items, ensuring they are directed responsibly and profitably to the most appropriate disposition channel. Develop and continuously improve responsible end markets for hard-to-recycle categories to maximize recovery value for Target and achieve diversion rate goals. Develop the vendor ecosystem strategy across collectors/haulers, aggregators, sorters, pre-processors, recyclers, and end-users—selecting partners that improve both diversion and financial return . Analyze assortment strategy at a category and retail level and adjust performance to drive optimal recovery rates by channel. Own monthly business performance, driving monthly performance to goal and developing action plans to achieve financial & diversion performance. Partner closely with Reverse Operations and Vendors to support daily business operations. Identifying emerging disposition opportunities by developing business requirements and drive the strategy for continuous improvement across existing nodes.
