Location : This is a hybrid position with required onsite days on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday assigned to the Parnall Service Center located in Jackson, MI.  The selected candidate must be within a commutable distance or willing to relocate (relocation package is available for those that qualify). General Summary of Job Responsibilities The Senior Program Engineer is responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines needed to complete a project. The incumbent works to plan projects, establish project criteria, coordinate project reviews, and ensure the proper implementation of project elements. Schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. As part of the distribution roadmap to enhance system reliability, there has been a significant increase in High Voltage Distribution (HVD) line work aimed at improving overall system performance. Additionally, the growing demand for connecting large customer loads—such as data centers—is driving the need to adopt different approaches and align with industry-standard work methods. The Senior Program Manager will oversee technical activities and deliverables, including but not limited to Design Plans, Engineer-of-Choice Scopes of Work, Construction Scopes of Work, and Master Document Lists. These efforts will ensure project accuracy and quality from initial conception through final completion.

Requirements

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD
  • Proficient in MS Office, with aptitude for learning new software
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program OR Engineering degree from a non-ABET accredited program plus a Professional Engineering license
  • 4 - 7 years of experience in a program engineer capacity

Responsibilities

  • Support the Agile project delivery cadence by helping balance team performance with tight deadlines.
  • Develop specifications for the project's needed equipment
  • Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
  • Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
  • Review the engineering tasks and initiate the necessary corrective actions
  • Provide assistance and technical support to project managers and other project participants
  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects.
  • Assign responsibilities and mentor project team
  • Build strong partnerships with business partners and deeply understand their business goals
  • Other duties as assigned or may be necessary
