About The Position

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Sr. Program Coordinator for the One Stop Student Services Center (One Stop). Central to this role is promoting a progressive and simplified student experience, and a culture that supports customer service, student satisfaction, retention, and student success. This is a direct student service position, spending the majority of time on the ‘front line’ working with students, parents, and other University departments. Among the key duties of the position are the following: Assists students in navigating the various pathways after enrollment at Rutgers University – New Brunswick: their class registration, their grades, their degrees, their money, and other information related to their academic records. Counsels, advises, investigates, problem-solves, and resolves questions and issues from students, parents, staff, collegiate units, and other third parties. Acts as a facilitator to resolve student services issues. Works with the knowledge about all student benefits and functions across the Offices of Financial Aid, Registrar, Student Accounting, Billing and Cashiering, and Undergraduate Admissions. Identifies and anticipates student enrollment issues, Resolves or establishes a viable and timely plan for resolution, and follow-up on agreed upon plans. Addresses student enrollment needs, and develops specialized knowledge through their experience, and extensive and regular professional development. The Division of Enrollment Management at Rutgers University–New Brunswick ( EMNB ) is comprised of seven student-facing and administrative units: Undergraduate Admissions, the Office of Financial Aid, the Office of the Registrar, and the One Stop Student Services Center, as well as business, information technology, and strategy and analytics administrative teams. The division employs over 100 full-time staff and an additional 200+ student employees to fulfill its mission. Through strong customer service and effective use of technology, the center serves as a “single point of service” across these areas to promote a progressive, simplified, and consistent student experience and a culture that supports student satisfaction and success. The primary purpose of the One Stop is to provide integrated student services regarding financial aid, registration, and student accounting, as well as other student support services.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working at the Rutgers, The State University of NJ or a similar multi-campus university.
  • Experience in higher education, preferably a one stop service model, financial aid, registrar, and/or student accounting.
