Job Description: At Cotality, the TPM role encompasses a variety of practices across several disciplines. A successful TPM at Cotality is capable of effectively executing these practices ensuring their team focuses on secure, high-quality delivery in a timely and consistent manner that meets the expectations of our stakeholders. This role is crucial in managing the product backlog, defining features, crafting user stories with clear acceptance criteria, and leading iteration planning. They oversee development practices, determine when to ship software, manage production releases, and monitor platform stability. The TPM will support the team's pace, remove obstacles, manage stakeholder communication, translate business needs into technical solutions, and actively contribute to the technical product manager community, fostering engineering and product practices. The TPM must always be looking to improve processes in order to accelerate delivery. The TPM must bring an “AI First” approach to the position. This TPM is integral to delivering quality software that aligns with business objectives and user satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience leading product/development teams, with deep expertise in backlog ownership, story writing, and iteration planning.
  • 6+ years of experience with B2B integrations, specifically utilizing Web Services and REST APIs.
  • 4+ years of success within Agile or Extreme Programming (XP) environments as a TPM, Product Owner, or Software Engineer.
  • Hands-on experience with Cloud Native ecosystems and designing/implementing large-scale, event-driven architectures.
  • Lean Principles: Proven mastery of Lean Product Design and Lean Software Development principles.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence decision-making across all organizational levels.
  • Knowledge of user-centered design (UCD) methods and a proven track record of training and mentoring others in modern development methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Architect the Backlog: Masterfully define features and craft precise user stories with rigorous acceptance criteria to drive high-quality engineering outputs.
  • Govern Technical Delivery & Stability: Own the end-to-end release lifecycle, overseeing CI/CD pipelines, managing production deployments, and maintaining high platform availability through proactive monitoring and incident response coordination.
  • Optimize Systems & Workflows: Serve as a technical force multiplier by identifying architectural bottlenecks, streamlining developer ergonomics, and utilizing data-driven metrics to improve team cycle time and deployment frequency.
  • Architect Scalable Solutions: Bridge the gap between product vision and system design, ensuring that business objectives are mapped to scalable, event-driven architectures and secure cloud-native infrastructures.
  • Drive Engineering Rigor: Lead technical iteration planning and code-quality initiatives, championing test-driven development (TDD), automated testing strategies, and secure-by-design principles to ensure consistent delivery.
  • Champion the Community: Actively contribute to Cotality’s TPM and engineering communities, mentoring others and evolving our Lean-Agile and Extreme Programming (XP) practices.
