Job Description: The IT Vendor Management Professional is responsible for managing and overseeing IT Outsourcing (ITO) governance and IT Licensing projects in partnership with IT leadership. This role ensures service level adherence, effective escalation management, and risk and compliance oversight across vendor relationships. The focus is on creating and executing project plans, managing vendor transitions, developing software renewal portfolio strategies and improving delivery outcomes through outsourced resources. The role involves overseeing one or more initiatives on an ongoing basis, ranging from small to medium-sized projects to participation in large-scale, enterprise-wide programs. Working independently or as part of a team, the IT Vendor Management Professional drives project planning, status reporting, risk management, and successful delivery while coordinating across multiple stakeholders and workstreams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • 4+ years of experience in IT Project Management, Vendor Management, or a related role
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively across functions, business units, cultures, and time zones
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with a strong sense of urgency and attention to milestones

  • Experience working with outsourced service providers and IT governance models preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage IT vendor governance activities, including service level adherence, escalations, and risk and compliance management
  • Develop and execute project plans to support vendor transitions and improve delivery performance
  • Oversee and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with broader IT and business initiatives
  • Partner with IT leadership, vendors, and cross-functional teams to plan and execute transition activities and logistics
  • Lead IT vendor management workstreams for corporate initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A) integration
  • Support contract development and renewals by coordinating with Technical leadership, Legal, Finance, and Procurement
  • Monitor, enforce, and drive compliance with IT standards, policies, and contractual obligations
  • Support continuous improvement and innovation initiatives across the vendor portfolio
  • Develop, track, and report on Service Level Agreements (SLAs), KPIs, and governance metrics
  • Support software portfolio planning, compliance, and rationalization efforts
  • Assist with IT licensing, commercial contracting, and vendor negotiations
  • Produce consolidated and ad hoc vendor headcount and performance reports for executive leadership
  • Provide regular project status updates, identify risks and issues, and drive timely resolution
