The G/FORE Sr. Production Specialist is mainly responsible for managing the data flow related to and correspondence between Peter Millar and its vendors, in addition to being responsible for special projects from inception to completion. The Senior Production Specialist will also be responsible for initial roll outs of new vendor related processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Production Execution Work with Product Development teams on style promotions and style set up.
  • Maintain style detail accuracy in BlueCherry.
  • Enter bulk purchase orders in Blue Cherry and e-mail POs and UPCs to appropriate vendor.
  • Ensure prices entered and x-factory dates entered align with responses to Order Inquiries without exception.
  • As required, split purchase order quantities between air and sea shipments.
  • Update all data in Blue Cherry as it becomes available, especially vendor delivery dates and shipment status.
  • When orders ship, enter shipment details into Blue Cherry, and compare vendor packing list details to agreed-upon PO.
  • Communicate discrepancies with Production Manager and vendors.
  • Assist Senior Production Manager with the preparation of Order Inquiries.
  • Together with the Production Manager, follow up with vendors regarding PO tracking. This includes identifying potential delivery risks; monitoring production status; and tracking shipment status.
  • Update Production Manager and related teams as appropriate.
  • Maintain and update vendor files including vendor leadtime and MOQ files
  • Understand, maintain, update, and seek continuous improvement in the Production Calendar for assigned product categories and styles and communicate this information to various internal teams.
  • Identify pain points in new vendor related processes and procedures before rolling out department wide. This includes EDI, PO uploads and replenishment programs.
  • Lead reoccurring Vendor tracking meetings providing general business overviews. Critical information to include in overview: hindsight to previous season, units on order, % shipped on time, % shipped late, sample confirmation and sample delivery timing.
  • Partner very closely with Production Manager to monitor key timing needed for SMS fabric, bulk yy calculation and achievable sample delivery timing.
  • Frequently onboard new “boutique” style Vendors (making small quantity, unique or first time products)
  • Assist in collecting cost breakdown files from vendors
  • Attend Preproduction fittings and provide team with bulk PP approval due dates.
  • Other Provide feedback to the design team on product needs and vendor relations.
  • Take on other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
