About The Position

Amazon Devices Retail Experience - Offline Product Strategy team is changing the way customers learn and engage with our devices in retail. Amazon Devices organization continues to be one of the most innovative and fastest growing businesses at Amazon. Our team develops and creates the magical experiences that customer experience when they visit our devices and services in global retailers such as Best Buy or Target. As Sr. Product Manager, Retail Experience - Offline Product Strategy, the candidate will be a self-starter, a creative problem solver and responsible for working with cross-functional teams to execute global retail demo projects for our worldwide Offline Retail channels. This role reports into the Offline Sales and Marketing organization and will work directly with the Devices Product Lines, Global Channel Marketing, Device Product Managers and Product Marketing Managers, and both internal/external engineering teams to help bring these experiences to life.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of end to end product delivery experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with end to end product delivery
  • Experience as a product manager or owner
  • Experience owning technology products
  • Some travel may be required (roughly 40k air miles annually)

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the retail demo experience, working closely with Channel Marketers and GTM to define our device and fixture experiences.
  • Lead the cross-functional teams through product reviews, demo ideation, software and hardware development, ensuring the product demo delights customers and meets the storytelling needs of our Global Channel Marketing teams.
  • Raising the bar on customer experience of our products in our Global Market Segments by owning and writing of the Business Requirement Documents and Press Release/Frequently Asked Questions (PR/FAQ) documents for director level approval.
  • Collaborate with the engineering teams and Demo Program Managers on implementation of the engineering requirements and through operational processes to deliver the demo product on time to global offline teams.
  • Clarify and drive project commitments as well as establish and maintain clear chains of accountability by leading and facilitating meetings with key stakeholders, and reporting using centralized information repositories and/or other communication tools.
  • Anticipate changes and bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, balance the business needs versus technical and operational constraints; and encourage risk-taking behavior to maximize business benefit.
  • Provide business recommendations to our global partners on how to develop demo CX’s from a demo technology standpoint.
  • Initiate, develop and champion business initiatives to raise the bar for On Device Demo Customer Experiences, gaining approval at Director level in product, marketing, technical and sales stakeholders
  • Measure the performance of demos from a qualitative and quantitative standpoint as appropriate. Use the data to ensure the voice of the customer is present in product and marketing decisions, and measure channel and sales effectiveness
  • Be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, and able to think big while paying careful attention to detail
  • Write Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews for director level reviews

  • The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market.
