About The Position

As a Senior PM on the Global Onboarding team, part of the Core Platforms organization at PayPal, you will be responsible for PayPal's onboarding platform that powers account creation and product adoption across all of PayPal's products and features for all customers (consumers, merchants, etc.) The Dynamic Onboarding Platform transforms the way PayPal teams, customers, and products work together solving for account creation and product policies, eliminating fragmentation and complexity across multiple domains (risk, compliance, etc.). The platform also unifies instrumentation and analytics across multiple domains enabling rapid experimentation and optimization of onboarding journeys.

Requirements

  • 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 yrs of Product Management experience (ideally across Consumer and/or SMBs).
  • Prior experience in platform-first growth experiences a plus.
  • Technical: You can deep dive with engineering into architectural decisions, discuss the tradeoff between scope and requirements, understand when to invest in the platform vs. when to launch new features.
  • Data-driven mindset: You start your day by staring at metrics (that you have defined), your ideas may be shaped by your experience/instinct, but your decisions and rationale are grounded in data.
  • UX ‘spidey’ sense: You understand human psychology, empathizing with customers to solve their needs with the least friction.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills: PayPal is a heavily distributed and matrixed organization, and this role will work with BUs and Product teams across the organization. Clear, concise communication with compelling rationale (written and verbal) is non-negotiable to drive alignment and be successful in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Uses data to build insights on product or platform requirements consistent with the shared vision for the product.
  • Gathers insights from the customer experience and customer needs to input to product requirements
  • Analyzes research, market analysis and usability studies, research and market analysis to support data-driven decision making
  • Monitors product profitability measures, including budget.
  • Lead sprint planning, daily standups and retrospectives to drive execution.
  • Interfaces with product and technology leadership as needed.
  • Partners with content developers, data scientists, product designers and user experience researchers to identify new opportunities.
