About The Position

We are seeking a Sr. Product Manager to own the Pricing & Promotions technology platform a Advance Auto Parts. This role will define the vision, roadmap, and execution for pricing and promotional capabilities that power both digital and in-store experiences. You will work at the intersection of data science, engineering, and business strategy , leveraging technology to deliver dynamic pricing, personalized promotions, and scalable solutions that drive revenue and customer loyalty. This position is 4 days in office, 1 day remote per week, based at our corporate headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina (North Hills)

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA or technical master’s preferred.
  • Experience: 7+ years in product management for technology platforms , preferably in retail or e-commerce.
  • Proven experience with pricing engines, promotional systems, or similar SaaS solutions.
  • Skills: Strong technical acumen; ability to translate business needs into platform requirements.
  • Familiarity with APIs, cloud architecture, and data pipelines.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools (SQL, BI platforms) and experimentation frameworks.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with dynamic pricing algorithms , personalization engines, and AI/ML applications.
  • Knowledge of retail technology stack (ERP, OMS, POS, e-commerce platforms).
  • Agile product management expertise; experience with Jira, Confluence, and roadmap tools.

Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Vision Define and articulate the product vision for pricing and promotions technology, aligned with business objectives.
  • Develop a multi-year roadmap for platform enhancements, automation, and AI-driven pricing models.
  • Platform Ownership Lead the development and optimization of pricing engines, promotional systems, and integration with e-commerce and POS platforms.
  • Ensure scalability, reliability, and compliance of pricing and promotional tools across channels.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making Partner with data science teams to implement dynamic pricing algorithms and predictive models for promotions.
  • Use A/B testing and experimentation frameworks to validate pricing strategies and promotional effectiveness.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with engineering, UX, marketing, and merchandising teams to deliver seamless pricing and promotional experiences.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Customer-Centric Innovation Drive personalization in promotions using customer segmentation and behavioral analytics.
  • Explore emerging technologies (AI/ML, real-time pricing engines) to enhance competitiveness.
