About The Position
At Apkudo, we are seeking an experienced Product Manager to join our team as a Product Manager for Device AI, responsible for defining mission-critical future appliance products. This individual will leverage their strong understanding of mobile devices, automation technology, the mobile device reverse logistics market, relevant technologies, and business economics to drive product development and strategy. The successful candidate will act as a generalist, working closely with technical and business stakeholders to develop product use cases, business cases, and detailed product requirements. The ideal candidate will have a high level of technical product management expertise, including significant ownership of technically complex products. They will be responsible for developing and executing product strategies that align with business goals and drive revenue growth.
Requirements
- 8+ years of product management experience, with significant ownership of technically complex products, ideally with proven experience in the field of supply chain and intra-logistics automation, to drive innovation and growth.
- Multi-year engineering experience in the field of mobile product testing and analytics, test methodology design and integration, to ensure a deep understanding of technical product management.
- Multi-year experience in engineering and industrial design with precision mechatronics, such as 6-axis robots, linear actuators, SCARA robots, gripper technology, to drive efficient and effective product design.
- Experience with electronic interfaces and protocols, including USB-C, USB-PD, DP-ALT, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, and cellular standards, to ensure seamless integration with the Apkudo infrastructure landscape.
- Experience with software engineering and development, in languages and tools such as Python, C++, C#, gitlab, to drive product innovation and growth.
- Experience in statistical process control and analytics, to ensure effective data-driven decision making and drive business success.
- Platform mindset, with experience shaping reusable, extensible products rather than one-off customer solutions, to drive innovation and growth.
- Developer-first thinking, with strong intuition for developer experience, documentation, sandboxing, versioning, and integration workflows, to ensure seamless integration with the Apkudo infrastructure landscape.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, to drive project success.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed product decisions, to drive business success.

Responsibilities
- Define detailed appliance product requirements, grounded in a deep understanding of customer technical needs, to ensure seamless integration with the Apkudo infrastructure landscape.
- Develop comprehensive appliance product business cases, evaluating total cost of ownership and ensuring product design aligns with market and business needs, to drive revenue growth and business success.
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of technical market trends, the competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform strategic product decisions, ensuring Apkudo remains at the forefront of innovation.
- Collaborate closely with technical subject matter experts to optimize the industrial design and automation process, ensuring the product delivers an optimized ROI for specific use cases and business requirements, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
- Partner with Engineering, Data Science, and the Device Passport team, serving as the technical product counterpart to backend, ML, manufacturing, and appliance teams, to drive clear requirements, manage trade-offs, and sequence development.
- Develop and execute product strategies that align with business goals, drive revenue growth, and ensure seamless integration of new appliances into the Apkudo infrastructure landscape, demonstrating strong business acumen and analytical skills.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and execution, leveraging excellent communication and collaboration skills to drive project success.
