Product Teams at Target are accountable for the delivery of business outcomes enabled through technology and analytics to insights products that are easy to use, easily maintained and highly reliable. Product teams have one shared backlog that is inclusive of all product, technology, discovery and design work. As a Senior Product Manager, Merchandising Insights, you will lead the development of scalable, intuitive, and high impact analytics and insights products that support assortment strategy across competitive market analysis, trends identification and Guest segmentation to geographic segmentation. You will own the competitive insights product vision and roadmap, defining and driving the analytics to insights product strategy based on business value, user adoption, and long-term sustainability. You will partner closely with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into clear product requirements while collaborating with internal consulting, analytics, engineering, data science, UX, and other cross functional teams to deliver an ecosystem of connected merchandising insights solutions. You will proactively seek feedback from leadership, consulting teams, and merchandising partners as a key input to backlog prioritization and roadmap decisions. You will leverage products to strengthen existing assortment insights routines while enabling new capabilities through prototypes and MVPs that test and validate emerging ideas and technologies. You will integrate internal and third-party data sources along with machine learning and GenAI capabilities to enhance product functionality and scalability. You will bring an unrelenting focus on intuitive, self-serve, and highly adopted analytics to insights tools that are easy to use, maintain, and evolve across merchandising teams. You will stay ahead of industry trends, assess new technologies and vendors, and represent the voice of the business in product development to ensure alignment with strategic goals. You will engage external data and insights vendor partners through POCs and RFP or RFI processes, holding them accountable for delivering high quality data, insights, and reporting solutions. You will support internal and external analytics work that contributes to product success, while coaching and mentoring Senior Consultants and helping prioritize their workload across initiatives. As a Senior Product Manager, you will work in the product model and will partner to develop a comprehensive product strategy, related roadmap, and set key business objectives (OKRs) for your respective product. You will need to leverage your knowledge of solutions to product expertise, as well as customer feedback and establish other relevant data points to assess value, develop business cases, and prioritize the direction and desired outcomes for your product. You will lead solutions to products in unison with cross-functional team inclusive of data analysts, other product managers, engineers, UX designers, data scientists and business partners to operationalize insights as a product. You will be the “voice of the product” to key stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met, and that the cross-functional teams are getting the direction and support that it needs to be successful. You will develop and actively understand the market, maintain a product roadmap and backlog outlining the customer themes, epics, and stories while prioritizing the backlog to focus on the highest impact work for your team and stakeholders. You will encourage the open exchange of information and viewpoints, as well as inspire others to achieve challenging goals and high standards of performance while committing to the organization's direction. You will foster a sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles, and partner with product teams across the organization to help them achieve their goals while pursuing and completing yours.
