Your Role We’re hiring a Senior Product Manager for football who is accountable for the end-to-end success of large-scale initiatives, defining the strategic vision and translating it into market impact. This role leads cross-functional teams through both discovery and delivery, ensuring our technical outputs result in measurable business outcomes. This role balances being highly strategic and highly operational. We are building out our product suite and need someone to help us get where we need to go in the US football market.

Requirements

  • Experienced in product management. You have 5–8 years of experience as a Product Manager, overseeing a significant scope, a more complex product, or a larger market.
  • An American football expert. You are an acknowledged expert on your target users and customers, understanding the competitive football landscape and relevant industry trends to inform your decisions. You can talk to a high school or college football coach and keep up when the topic of a 2 high safety defense comes up.
  • SaaS experience. You’re worked in high-growth software-as-a-service companies that serve clients.
  • Process proficient. You have a strong understanding of product discovery techniques, knowing how to tackle and reduce product risks upfront, and you execute your Product Owner responsibilities effectively for product delivery and optimization.
  • A collaborative leader. You work effectively with your squad and cross-functional partners, leveraging your team’s skills. You effectively influence and inspire people without direct management, and others look to you for leadership, especially in stressful situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Sports technology experience. You’ve spent time building data analysis, video, and/or recruiting platforms for clients in team sports. Bonus points if you have created products that are used by coaches, athletes, or fans.
  • Trend awareness. You pay attention to what’s happening in the sports technology industry. You’re able to adapt to market/tech trends when needed, and can guide your teams to do the same.
  • Business and product operational knowledge. You understand the various dimensions of the company’s business, from finance to sales, and you are an acknowledged expert on how your product works, enabling you to effectively demo, train, and handle live customer support inquiries.
  • Strategic foresight. You track industry trends and the competitive landscape as they pertain to your product, and you can provide forecasts and projections as required by your business unit’s General Manager.
