About the Team: Our team is fast-moving and highly collaborative, operating in an environment where ideas quickly turn into shipped products. We focus deeply on understanding content—specifically identifying the right piece of content for each learner at the right stage of their journey. This requires close partnership with engineering to translate user and content insights into scalable solutions. Together, we work with the latest AI technologies, including building content understanding models that power personalized and effective learning experiences. About the Role: You will act as a key connector between the content and product teams, identifying how content structure can best power our products and uncovering new opportunities where content can drive additional value. You will translate content strategy into clear product requirements, ensuring alignment between user needs, content capabilities, and product goals. The role also involves close collaboration with engineering and machine learning teams to develop a strong understanding of how content is structured and represented under the hood. This perspective will enable you to shape product decisions that are both strategically sound and technically informed. We’re happy to share that this is an onsite position in our San Francisco office. To help foster team collaboration, we require that employees be in the office a minimum of three days per week: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday and as needed by your manager or the company. Requirements

  • 7+ years of product management experience with a focus on data-driven systems, where structured data layers are used to power product functionality and decision-making
  • Proven experience operating at the intersection of data, product, and user needs, including working close to the data models that power core product functionality
  • Genuine passion for education and educational technology, and a motivation to build products that meaningfully support learners and educators
  • Ability to think analytically across data, product capabilities, and user needs to inform clear, impactful product decisions
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment

  • Prior experience working in education or EdTech environments
  • First hand Building ML-powered products that rely on data layers first hand

Responsibilities

  • Help shape and evolve content strategy to align with and enhance core product needs
  • Partner closely with Product and User Research to understand requirements, surface insights, and define content-driven solutions
  • Identify core problems and develop elegant, scalable solutions that balance user value, content capabilities, and product constraints
  • Discover and evaluate new opportunities where content can power additional systems, features, or experiences across Quizlet
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing to ensure content is positioned effectively and reaches the right audiences at the right time
  • Work with Research and Design to deeply understand user motivations, pain points, and friction, translating insights into clear, actionable product direction
