Purpose of the Role The Senior Product Manager (Consumer Devices) is part of the Innovation and Advanced Development team. Partnering closely with Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Operations, this role ensures devices deliver meaningful customer value while meeting business, quality, and operational objectives. This role serves as the voice of the customer and market, translating insights into clear product requirements and guiding cross-functional teams from concept through launch and lifecycle management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of product management experience, with a strong focus on consumer hardware or connected devices.
  • Proven experience leading products from concept through launch and lifecycle management.
  • Strong understanding of consumer device development, including hardware/firmware integration and manufacturing considerations.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, design, manufacturing, and external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate customer and market insights into clear, actionable product requirements.
  • Excellent communication, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with multiple concurrent initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Vision Define and own the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for consumer devices aligned to business and wellness objectives.
  • Identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive insights to inform product direction and differentiation.
  • Develop compelling product value propositions and success metrics for new and existing devices.
  • Partner with executive leadership to prioritize investments and align product initiatives with company strategy.
  • Product Development & Execution Lead end-to-end product development from ideation and concept through launch and post-launch optimization.
  • Translate customer, market, and business requirements into clear product requirements, user stories, and specifications.
  • Partner closely with engineering teams across device systems, electrical, mechanical, and firmware to ensure product requirements are well understood and delivered.
  • Make informed tradeoff decisions balancing customer experience, technical feasibility, cost, timelines, and regulatory considerations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with engineering, industrial design, UX, quality, regulatory, supply chain, manufacturing, legal, and marketing teams to deliver successful products.
  • Serve as the primary product partner to program and project management to support planning, milestones, and risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate with marketing and commercial teams to support go-to-market planning, positioning, and launch readiness.
  • Engage with contract manufacturers and suppliers as needed to support product feasibility, cost targets, and production readiness.
  • Customer, Market & Lifecycle Management Gather and synthesize customer feedback, user research, and field insights to inform continuous product improvement.
  • Monitor product performance post-launch, identifying opportunities for enhancements, cost reduction, or portfolio optimization.
  • Manage product lifecycle decisions, including feature updates, platform extensions, and end-of-life planning.
  • Operational & Business Ownership Own product business cases, including pricing inputs, margin considerations, and volume assumptions in partnership with finance and operations.
  • Support regulatory and compliance activities by ensuring product requirements align with applicable standards and market needs.
  • Identify and proactively manage product risks related to scope, dependencies, customer expectations, and delivery.
