Honeywell has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Product Management Specialist within Building Automation SBG of Honeywell, who will be responsible for growing the software and services offerings to serve buildings customers, and develop and execute direct and indirect GTM strategies. The Senior Product Management Specialist is a key role responsible for managing and optimizing the product portfolio to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and market demands. This position involves leading complex projects, providing strategic insights, and working cross-functionally to drive product success. The role requires a deep understanding of NPI, product lifecycle management, market trends, and portfolio strategy.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in product management or portfolio management, with a proven track record of managing complex portfolios and leading cross-functional teams.
  • 5+ years industry experience in Cybersecurity, Software as a Service (Saas), Enterprise Cloud, Mobility, ICT, Applications in critical infrastructure and Controls markets.
  • Experience in managing product portfolios
  • Knowledge of market research and thoughtfulness techniques
  • Familiarity with product development processes

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Experience with buildings or industrial control systems, and/or buildings or industrial automation is a plus.
  • Demonstrate customer centricity by spending time with customers and Sales/Customer Success teams to understand defined and latent needs, and work with technical leads and UX leads to prioritize the backlog.
  • Have a deep understanding and perspective on emergent technologies and how they shape and inform next-generation products.
  • Strong thoughtfulness and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Management: Support the management of the product portfolio, including performance tracking, analysis, and optimization. Develop and implement strategies to enhance portfolio value and drive business growth.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to define and execute portfolio strategies. Contribute to long-term planning and strategic decision-making based on market trends and business objectives.
  • Product Lifecycle Oversight: Oversee all stages of the product lifecycle to ensure effective management of product development, launches, and phase-outs.
  • Market Research: Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, threats, and customer needs. Use insights to inform product strategies and make data-driven decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Work closely with R&D, marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment on product initiatives. Facilitate communication and coordination across departments to support successful product execution.
  • Project Management: Lead key portfolio projects, including new product launches, product enhancements, and market expansions. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the portfolio. Analyze performance data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Customer and Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with customers, partners, and other stakeholders to gather feedback, address issues, and build strong relationships. Utilize feedback to drive product improvements and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and support their professional development. Share expertise and best practices to enhance team capabilities and performance.
