The Senior Product Leader, Alternatives (Alts) and Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs) will drive the firm's product strategy and oversee ongoing product management for these product lines for the firm. This leader will be a catalyst for the firm's ambitious growth goals in Alts and SMAs, shaping the future of our investment platform. As the business owner and subject matter expert, they will inspire and guide a team to design a best-in-class suite of offerings that anticipate client needs and market trends. Working across the organization, they will champion innovation and deliver transformative solutions that elevate the client experience. Beyond strategy, this leader will oversee key vendor and platform relationships, harness advanced technology, and drive advisor education to empower success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; preferred fields include business, finance, economics, accounting, mathematics, engineering, or related fields.
  • Series 7 and 66 licenses are required within 12 months of hire.
  • 15+ years of financial services experience, including leadership in alternative investments and product management (5+ years).
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, emotional intelligence, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to influence and achieve results through others.
  • Intellectual curiosity with strong critical and systems thinking.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree or relevant industry designation (CAIA, CFA, CFP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the firm's product strategy and ongoing product management for Alts (private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, hedge funds, digital assets, sports and entertainment, etc.) and SMA (SMA) vehicles.
  • Curate a competitive universe of Alts and SMA product offerings based on client, field, and market insights.
  • Serve as the business owner and subject matter expert for Alts and SMA product lines for the firm.
  • Collaborate with and influence other areas of the firm such as Operations, Product Review, Research, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Field and Practice Management.
  • Regularly interface with senior leadership internally and externally and take an active role in the industry as the firm representative for these product lines.
  • Understand and interpret regulatory environment, rules and potential rule changes in the tax, legal and regulatory environment impacting this product line; influence and shape the firm position with respect to tax, legal and regulatory issues for these products/programs.
  • Accountable for developing and recommending risk mitigation strategies to ensure continuity and effectiveness of this product line while minimizing risk to clients and the firm.
  • Attract, develop and lead a team of high performing leaders and associates, and assist in their ongoing growth and personal and professional development.
  • Manage vendors and platforms for alternative investments and advisor education leveraging state-of-the-art technology
  • Ensure the resolution of complex / broad issues of HNW APPS. Determine root cause and apply systems thinking to prevent future occurrences.
