This role is ideal for a producer who thrives in fast-paced environments, has a deep understanding of live event production, and takes pride in running a polished, technically sound general session from concept through show call. The ideal candidate will located in either Milwaukee, WI, Chicago, IL or surrounding areas.

Requirements

  • You'll own the end-to-end production of general sessions, shepherding each project from initial concept through rehearsal, show execution, and strike.
  • You'll be the architect of meticulous run of show documents that detail speaker flow, timing, content cues, and transitions with precision.
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive technical show call spreadsheets like covering lighting, video, audio, playback, comms, and show cues, will be second nature to you.

  • Your technical expertise will shine as you partner closely with AV vendors to develop innovative approaches that align with both creative intent and budget constraints.
  • You'll translate design decks and creative concepts into executable production plans, making informed, real-time decisions onsite that remain rooted in the approved design direction.
  • You'll maintain a strong working knowledge of audio, video, lighting, staging, LED, and show control systems, leveraging this knowledge to solve problems on the fly and elevate the final product.
  • You'll work seamlessly across all internal GMR teams (creative, digital, account, and operations) to shepherd projects from concept to completion.
  • Managing project scopes, production plans, schedules, and budgets will be a core responsibility, as will selecting, briefing, and managing vendors and venues based on project needs and established criteria.
  • You'll coordinate and track all production builds, graphics, logistics, installs, and strikes, keeping everything moving in perfect synchronization.
  • Budget and vendor management require both strategic thinking and fiscal discipline.
  • You'll build and manage production budgets that align with scope and client expectations, review vendor bids, negotiate scopes, and track costs through reconciliation.
  • You'll identify opportunities to enhance production quality while maintaining fiscal responsibility, proving that great events don't require unlimited resources, just smart ones.
  • You'll take initiative to understand design intent and elevate it through smart production solutions.
  • You'll collaborate with creative teams to explore innovative technologies and approaches, balancing creative ambition with operational feasibility.
