About The Position

The Senior CPU Process Manager is a critical role within Bon Appétit Management Company, responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operations of our Central Production Unit (CPU). This position requires a strong understanding of food production, logistics, and financial management. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to lead and motivate a team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in culinary arts, food science, business administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in food production, preferably in a large-scale commercial kitchen.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and budgeting.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

  • Process Management and Optimization:
  • Oversee and optimize all aspects of the CPU's production processes, including scheduling, ingredient sourcing, and quality control.
  • Develop and implement standardized operating procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
  • Collaborate with culinary teams to develop innovative and efficient production techniques.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Recruit, hire, and train a high-performing team of production staff.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and employee engagement.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety, sanitation, and food quality standards.
  • Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage the CPU's budget, including forecasting, cost control, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor and control labor and food costs to optimize profitability.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Logistics and Supply Chain:
  • Manage the efficient flow of ingredients and finished products between the CPU and client locations.
  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Optimize inventory levels to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Implement rigorous quality control procedures to ensure that all products meet Bon Appétit's high standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address potential issues.
  • Collaborate with culinary teams to develop and maintain recipe standards.
