About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to establish, maintain, and continuously improve manufacturing processes and systems. This role is critical in reducing cost, improving quality and sustainability, and driving best practices within a fast-paced electronic manufacturing environment. Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of circuit card manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Experience with SMT processes, programming, setup, and operation
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Design of Experiments (DOE)
  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills
  • Strong analytical skills (data analysis, trend analysis, reporting with charts/graphs)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documents
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field + 7 years of experience OR Associate degree + 9 years of experience OR High school diploma + 12 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in electronic and/or electromechanical manufacturing
  • Experience in ISO 9000, ISO 13485, or AS9000 regulated environments
  • Hands-on experience with SMT circuit card assembly processes and equipment

Responsibilities

  • Organize, implement, and maintain production processes
  • Develop and maintain assembly instructions, workmanship standards, and process documentation
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase quality, productivity, and cost efficiency
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for manufacturing issues (process, equipment, or programming related)
  • Collaborate with production planning to ensure assemblies have proper programs, documentation, and processes
  • Provide and analyze manufacturing data to track performance against targets
  • Partner with Design Engineering on DFX initiatives, including: Design for Cost Design for Test Design for Manufacturability Design for Assembly
  • Interface with suppliers regarding manufacturing processes
  • Research and justify new manufacturing technologies to enhance capacity, quality, and cost savings
  • Program manufacturing and inspection equipment
