To learn more about playing for Team Amcor, visit www.amcor.com I LinkedIn I Glassdoor I Facebook I YouTube Job Description Summary Under the direct supervision of the Manufacturing Manager, the Senior Process Engineer ensures that all Molding processes in the Ahoskie Plant produce components that meet or exceed Amcor's customer expectations by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Sign off on first articles and ensure appropriate procedures in place for changeovers and first shots.
  • Develop press specific LOTO procedures and train all personnel with LOTO authorization in Molding.
  • Oversee daily operations, machine set-ups, troubleshooting and some PMs of the Injection molding machines
  • Develop programs for continuous improvement.
  • Develop, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product leading to reduced scrap.
  • Develop or revise standard operation procedures and observe team to ensure compliance with standards and procedures
  • Perform all CQV, DOE and capability studies
  • Train technical staff
  • Participate in customer tours of the Molding process.
  • Perform all activities (maintenance or otherwise) safely, including the use of LOTO as required by company policy.
  • Conduct safety inspections of equipment and tooling prior to use.
  • Within the confines of the job, ensure the safe operation of all equipment prior to turning it back over to the appropriate department.
  • Document new/altered equipment safety checks or other change control documentation, as required .
  • Promote plant goals such as Safety/Housekeeping, Quality, GMP, AIB, and ISO.
