Position Summary: Advanced Manufacturing Technology is responsible for deploying processes, automation, and capital equipment for Donaldson’s manufacturing plants. As a Sr. Process Engineer (Capital Equipment) you will develop and deploy custom processes and custom capital equipment into Donaldson manufacturing plants. The position is in our Bloomington, MN world headquarters and will interact with colleagues in the US, as well as teams in Europe, Asia and Latin America. Qualified candidates must be able to work a hybrid schedule of 4 days a week at our Bloomington, MN office/facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in engineering processes and equipment development.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully complete projects on time and within budget.

  • Communicate effectively with vendors and internal cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge and experience with regulated industries Responsible for developing processes, systems capable of meeting state/federal/regional regulatory requirements and corporate policies/standards (cGMP, cGLP, 21CFR820).
  • Experience deploying equipment under regulatory and quality management systems such as ISO9001 and ISO13485

Responsibilities

  • Conceive, validate, & recommend new or upgraded equipment and process methods, which will advance our global manufacturing and product leadership position.
  • Research and recognize reliable technologies which can be successfully applied to unique filter manufacturing challenges.
  • Collaborate with product design groups, manufacturing centers, and other resources to define product requirements, and ensure manufacturability of new designs.
  • Monitor equipment design and build, conduct equipment acceptance testing, and oversee factory installation.
  • Champion knowledge transfer and training on new processes and equipment.
  • Improve capability through statistical process controls and lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Coordinate engineering resources to effectively maintain project schedule and costs
  • Author equipment specifications for production or proof of concept applications.
