  • Proven experience architecting SAP solutions at scale in global, regulated environments with strong quality and compliance requirements.
  • Extensive experience governing and influencing system integrators and delivery partners, holding them accountable for architectural quality and outcomes.

Nice To Haves

  • Track record of enterprise-level influence without formal authority.
  • Proven experience leading SAP architecture for Mergers, Acquisitions, and Divestitures in large, global, regulated enterprises.
  • Demonstrated success supporting carve-outs, integrations, and data separations while maintaining financial integrity and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Operate with enterprise and global scope, influencing SAP transformation decisions across various businesses, finance, and enabling functions.
  • Own the end-to-end architectural integrity of SAP Order-to-Cash solutions, from master data and pricing through order fulfillment, supply chain, invoicing and financial close.
  • Ensure SAP solutions meet Medtronic’s requirements for quality, security, auditability, regulatory compliance, and long-term operational sustainability.
  • Enable architectural decisions with multi-year impact on Medtronic’s SAP roadmap and finance transformation strategy.
  • Lead SAP architecture strategy for Mergers, Acquisitions, and Divestitures (M&A/D), ensuring rapid, compliant, and low-risk integration or separation of SAP Order-to-Cash and Finance capabilities.

  • Serve as the enterprise SAP solution architect for O2C and Finance domains, providing architecture leadership across programs and initiatives.
  • Independently define solution architecture direction and design patterns, escalating only when decisions involve material enterprise risk, regulatory exposure, or significant financial impact.
  • Establish and enforce enterprise architecture standards, reference architectures, and integration patterns across internal teams and system integration partners.
  • Architect integrated SAP solutions covering Master Data (customers, pricing, products), Order Management, Billing, Revenue Recognition, Accounts Receivable, and Financial Reporting.
  • Ensure strong alignment between business processes, SAP functional design, data models, and upstream/downstream integrations.
  • Drive consistency and simplification across global SAP landscapes to reduce technical debt and improve process efficiency.
  • Architect SAP solutions supporting entity integrations and separations, including master data harmonization, customer and pricing alignment, revenue recognition continuity, and financial reporting integrity.
  • Ensure business continuity and audit readiness during Day-1 readiness, TSA execution, and post-close optimization.
  • Address highly complex, cross-functional challenges that span commercial operations, finance, compliance, data governance, and legacy SAP environments.
  • Balance innovation with Medtronic’s regulated-industry expectations, ensuring solutions are audit-ready, well documented, and operationally robust.

  • Balance speed of execution with Medtronic’s quality, security, and regulatory standards throughout deal execution.
  • Lead through deep expertise, credibility, and influence, not formal reporting relationships.
  • Set architectural expectations for solution architects, functional leads, developers, and system integrators; review designs and outcomes for adherence to standards.
  • Mentor and develop Principal and Senior-level architects across Global IT and partner organizations.
  • Communicate architectural strategies, trade-offs, risks, and recommendations to IT leadership, Finance leaders, business executives, and Quality & Compliance partners.
