The Impact of a Sr. Principal Global AI Strategist at Coupa: The Global AI Strategist for Professional Services is the lead architect of Coupa’s AI-driven services evolution. This is a dual-impact leadership role: you are responsible for defining how Coupa’s global delivery organization shows up for customers, while simultaneously transforming Coupa’s internal delivery engine. Externally, you will strategize on how to translate rapidly evolving Product Management AI capabilities into repeatable, high-value consulting motions. You will shape the organizational design of our specialized AI delivery cohorts (FDEs, Agentic Architects, and Transformation Partners) to ensure they are positioned for maximum customer impact. Internally, you will lead the charge in using AI to automate manual implementation toil, codify tribal knowledge, and radically accelerate the time-to-value for our global client base.

Requirements

  • Strategic Visionary: 10+ years in Professional Services leadership or Digital Transformation, with a proven track record of implementing AI/Automation at scale.
  • Product-to-Service Bridge: Ability to look at a raw product feature and envision the consulting methodology required to make it successful at a Fortune 500 company.
  • Technological Fluency: Deep understanding of the Generative AI landscape (LLMs, RAG, Prompt Engineering) and how it applies to enterprise software delivery.
  • Organizational Designer: Experience in "Role Design" and building specialized technical teams in a global SaaS environment

Responsibilities

  • Service Productization: Partner with Product Management to translate new AI features into billable, high-impact service offerings (e.g., AI Readiness Audits, Agentic Blueprints).
  • Workforce Design: Define the evolution of delivery roles; act as the lead strategist in forming and scaling the specialized Agentic Architect, AI Data Architect, and Transformation Strategist teams.
  • Consultative "Point of View": Establish the global standard for how Coupa consultants "show up" to advise customers on AI ethics, agentic governance, and autonomous workflows.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Deploy AI-driven frameworks for automated testing and implementation diagnostics to reduce go-live risks and manual QA hours.
  • Predictive Insights: Build models that provide "Predictive Delivery Insights," identifying project health risks before they impact the customer.
  • Intelligent Retrieval: Partner with KM and Enablement teams to build AI-driven "Knowledge Co-pilots" that allow consultants to instantly retrieve best practices and historical project data.
  • Documentation Automation: Implement Generative AI tools to automate the creation of Statements of Work (SOWs), technical design documents, and end-user training materials.
  • Onboarding Accelerators: Use AI to slash the "Time-to-Productivity" for new hires through personalized, AI-guided learning paths.
  • Efficiency Tracking: Establish and own the KPIs for AI adoption within PS, measuring impact on Delivery Speed , Margin Improvement , and Consultant Utilization .
  • CSAT & Value Realization: Measure how AI-driven diagnostics and "Health Checks" correlate to higher Customer Satisfaction and faster realized savings for the client.
