Plans and implements the design, manufacture, installation and/or maintenance of electrical systems and apparatus, such as electric motors, machinery controls, wiring and power systems/devices, for the generation, transmission and control of electric power Impact of the Role General Profile Recognized as an expert within the company and requires in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline and broad knowledge of other job disciplines within the organization function Solves unique problems that have a broad impact on the business Contributes to the development of organization functional strategy Progression to this level is typically restricted on the basis of business requirements Consistent exercise of discretion & judgment

Requirements

• Associate's Degree and 10-12 years' experience
• Engineering degree required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.
• Applies mathematical and engineering principles and methods to designs.
• Performs extensive testing and validation of designs to ensure reliability, performance, and safety standards are achieved.
• Conducts research and studies new technologies to innovate and design solutions or products.
• Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
• May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices.
