Make a difference The Sr Pharmacy Technician will perform the duties of a pharmacy technician, and advanced technician work , in compliance with standard procedures, Joint Commission, State Department of Health, and other regulatory standards.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
- 2 - 4 years previous pharmaceutical experience is required
- National Certification (PTCB or NHA) required
Nice To Haves
- Hospital environment is preferred
Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently select medications for dispensing
- Compound sterile products using aseptic techniques
- Deliver medications, and supplies to the proper location in a timely fashion
- Maintain contemporary professional knowledge base
- Participate in the evaluation, development, and implementation of process improvement
- Perform basic compounding and calculations
- Communicate with patients, their families, and hospital staff in a positive and professional manner
- Advanced tasks include problem solving of advanced complexity, technical specialist and trainer on daily tasks and cases.
