Make a difference The Sr Pharmacy Technician will perform the duties of a pharmacy technician, and advanced technician work , in compliance with standard procedures, Joint Commission, State Department of Health, and other regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
  • 2 - 4 years previous pharmaceutical experience is required
  • National Certification (PTCB or NHA) required

Nice To Haves

  • Hospital environment is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently select medications for dispensing
  • Compound sterile products using aseptic techniques
  • Deliver medications, and supplies to the proper location in a timely fashion
  • Maintain contemporary professional knowledge base
  • Participate in the evaluation, development, and implementation of process improvement
  • Perform basic compounding and calculations
  • Communicate with patients, their families, and hospital staff in a positive and professional manner
  • Advanced tasks include problem solving of advanced complexity, technical specialist and trainer on daily tasks and cases.
