About The Position

The Sr. People Experience Specialist is a proactive, and people-centered team member supporting Thrive in finding and retaining top talent. This is a dynamic role that holds responsibility for sourcing talent and owning the recruiting lifecycle, as well as overseeing other parts of the employee lifecycle, including new hire onboarding, training, employee engagement, and performance management efforts. This position requires a proactive approach to sourcing candidates, building relationships, and managing HR processes from start to finish. The Sr. People Experience Specialist will work closely with Department Heads, and other company leaders to create scalable, effective practices. This role reports directly to the VP of People Experience. This is an exciting opportunity to drive impact and play an instrumental role in building a strong and scalable operational foundation. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Previous recruitment or talent acquisition experience preferred.
  • Experience utilizing HRIS platforms, employee engagement platforms, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and online job boards.
  • Intermediate or greater level skills utilizing Microsoft Office Suites, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local regulations related to private-sector recruitment and hiring practices.
  • Excellent professional presentation delivery, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and demands and work in a dynamic, changing environment.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to uphold confidential and sensitive information at all times.
  • Ability to adopt a proactive mindset, with a commitment to building candidate pipelines and strategies for future hiring needs.

Nice To Haves

  • HR certification such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar a plus, but not required.
  • Experience in the real estate development industry a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Recruiting & Talent Sourcing Leads full-cycle recruiting across all assigned requisitions within the organization achieving time-to-fill and other recruiting performance targets.
  • Partners with 3rd party agency partners as needed.
  • Posts job openings to job boards, social media, and internal systems.
  • Sources candidates proactively using LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, university and alumni relations, community outreach, and creative sourcing and networking strategies.
  • Identifies and screens qualified candidates.
  • Builds and maintains strong talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
  • Partners with hiring managers to define role requirements, hiring timelines, and understand future hiring needs.
  • Develops training materials and facilitates small group trainings for hiring managers for objective and unbiased interviewing, and best practices.
  • Continuously improves the candidate experience and recruiting process, such as managing approval workflows, checklists, etc.
  • Oversees the company’s internship program by sourcing candidates and designing an impactful initiative providing relevant and meaningful on-the-job experience.
  • Serves as the subject matter expert of the company’s Applicant Tracking System (ATS), owning system configuration and training.
  • Tracks recruiting metrics and performance targets as directed and assigned.
  • Onboarding & New Hire Experience Designs, manages, and continuously refines the end-to-end onboarding experience.
  • Facilitates new hire training sessions and other learning opportunities.
  • Oversees all pre-employment requirements, such as background checks, I-9 completion, and driver’s license requirements.
  • Coordinates cross-functional onboarding tasks with People Experience (HR), IT, Operations, and hiring teams.
  • Gathers new hire and manager feedback to improve onboarding processes.
  • Gathers feedback from new hires at 90-day mark to assess their satisfaction and connection with Thrive.
  • Process Design, Improvement & Enablement Creates, documents, and refines HR processes as directed or assigned.
  • Coaches, as needed, managers on best practices for onboarding, early-stage employee development, and ongoing employee development.
  • Identifies inefficiencies and recommends scalable solutions as the company grows.
  • Company Ambassador & Other Responsibilities Serves as a positive representative of Thrive’s company culture and values, while finding creative opportunities to further incorporate the Thrive brand throughout the employee experience.
  • Leverages general HR knowledge to support other People Experience projects and responsibilities as needed.
  • Assists with other projects or duties as directed or assigned.
