Sr Parking System Technician
About The Position
GENERAL SUMMARY: Under supervision of the IT Parking Systems Manager, providesplex preventive maintenance, testing, and repair service ofputer hardware related to the Airport's parking revenue control system. Provides technical support to the Parking System Technicians in the performance of their duties. Installs, maintains and supports a variety ofputer hardware and software related to the parking revenue control system. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinates the installation, maintenance and support of the parking revenue control system and its variousponents. Provides technical support and training to the Parking System Technicians as required. Monitors the health of the parking revenue control system and implements necessary efforts to ensure normal operations. Maintains, tests, and repairs the variousponents of the parking revenue control system. Troubleshoots all parking revenue control system equipment such as Ticket Issuing Devices, Ticket Exit Devices, Ticket Transport Mechanisms, induction loops, gate and gate housing assemblies, etc. Resolves issues related to the Automated Vehicle Identification and Toll Tag system. Installs and implements new parking revenue controlponents. Analyzes situations and uses best judgment to make decisions about required repairs; provides rmendations for cost effective improvements for field operations.
Requirements
- Completion of high school curriculum or equivalent.
- Three (3) years of experience as a field service technician, parking revenue control or related field.
- Any equivalentbination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
- Possession of a valid class C driver's license.
- Knowledge of parking revenue control systems and operations.
- Knowledge of fiber optic network backbone topology and system requiredmunications.
- Skill in the installation, configuration and repair of parking revenue controlponents.
- Ability to work flexible hours and adjust schedules as needed to meet requirements of job.
- Ability tomunicate clearly and effectively, and to maintain harmonious internal and external working relationships.
- Ability to be on call via pager or other department-defined method.
- Ability to pass a medical physical.
